Our last major trip was a quick motorcycle jaunt on our
Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe to Tennessee/North Carolina to ride
Deal's Gap with four other friends. Several of the others rode
Honda Gold Wings. We left on Friday, November 3rd, and returned Sunday, November 5th, averaging about 37 miles per gallon for the nearly 2,000 mile trip.

The fall foliage was great, and we enjoyed learning about the history of the area, including the
Tennessee Valley Authority. If you are planning a fall trip next year, we recommend making the
Smokey Mountains your destination.
